Unfortunately, the explorers did not come alone to Celestia. Plunkett and his fellow explorers soon realized that Celestia was now inhabited by a strange new culture. They landed with an airship and built exploratory undersea domes to explore Celestia's ruins. Celestia was lost to the Spiral, its spiral door closed forever.Ĭenturies later, a team of brave explorers from the spiral geographic society, led by Sir Thurston Plunkett, re-discovered Celestia. Realizing they were doomed, the Celestians raised mighty domes to protect some of their treasured city from the waves, though it was too late! They perished along with Morganthe's invading army. The Storm Titan betrayed the Celestians by sinking their world beneath the waves along with Morganthe's invading forces. They summoned the Storm Titan to defeat Morganthe's legions and to take their world to a place of safety. After decades of battle, the Astral Wizards realized their world would fall. The Celestians refused her, so she raised a dark army and sent it against Celestia. The sorceress Morganthe, a queen of the shadow web, wanted the secrets of the Celestian magic. Long ago, the astral wizards of Celestia created powerful magic using the energy of the stars, the moon, and the sun. These include the tribes of Goblins, the sons of Ymir, and new versions of creature classes including the Female Bears (Valkyries), Female Ravens, and more hulkish versions of Trolls.

New creature classes are added and new versions of creatures are added. Wintertusk includes a new quest from Prospector Zeke and accompanies new Level 35 and 55 spell quests in Grizzleheim and new Level 58 Pet quests. You work with Grandmother Raven and other residents of the area to keep the Frost Titan asleep and stop the The Coven's plans. In Wintertusk, The Coven again attempts to bring about the Everwinter by awakening The Frost Titan. In May 2011, KingsIsle added Wintertusk as an expansion area within Grizzleheim that includes several new locations for Wizards who are Level 50 or higher.

A free preview of the world is available for non-paying members from Baldur Goldpaws at level 5. After the level 20 questline, there is also level 25, 30, and 40 questlines. It is the game's first side world, and is fully available to crowns or subscription players with characters who are at least level 20 and have completed the quests given by Baldur Goldpaws in Olde Town, Wizard City. Along your journey restore order to Grizzlehiem and stop The Coven, a band of ravens who want to bring on a frozen Armageddon that will turn the spiral into a frozen wasteland. The world is home to Bears, Wolves and Ravens as the major races, but also the savage Wildclaws, primal Boars, and the feared Grendels. To make matters worse, Malistaire Drake has arrived in Krokotopia, and is trying to steal the Krokonomicon for his nefarious purposes. Centuries later, Professor Winthrop's archeological team arrived from Marleybone to excavate the Pyramid of the Sun, and, in doing so, accidentally awoke the Tuts, who quickly re-enslaved the Manders and took over once more. A small group of benevolent Kroks, the Order of the Fang, disapproved of this and wrote the Krokonomicon, a book of powerful magics, which with the Golden Fang they used to put the majority of the Kroks into a Great Sleep. Unfortunately for the Manders, the Kroks took advantage of the Manders' hospitality and enslaved them, becoming the ruling class of Krokotopia. At some point in history, the floating world islands of the Kroks approached this world and the Manders took in the desperate and displaced Kroks with food and friendship. Long ago, Krokotopia was home to the peaceful Manders. The World is populated by Manders, Kroks, and the canines of Marleybone who can be found excavating ruins in search of artifacts for their museums.

In this place, deserts surround the life-giving oasis in the shadow of towering pyramids, tombs, and monuments.
